Manually Switchable Resistive Load Bank

The VIKING portable load bank range offers extensive load ratings from 50kW to 2500kW and features for testing generating sets or Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems, both in workshops and on-site. 

Features include:

  • Hot dip galvanised forklift base with heavy-duty roll frame for rental applications.
  • Powerlock power inlet connections.
  • Auxiliary power inlet for control and cooling power supply.
  • Fan reversing switch to rectify incorrect phase rotation.
  • Folding cable hangers.

 

Each unit includes the manual “Load-Logic” PLC controller with a 7″ colour touch-screen interface and carries an IP54 rating. Insulated resistor compartments keep external temperatures close to ambient for operator safety.

Automatic Load Shedding (ALS) Load Banks

The VIKING ALS “Load-Logic” load banks provide automatic single—or multiple-step loading of diesel or gas-fueled generators. These units help maintain sufficient base load on the generator to reduce or eliminate light load running, a common cause of accelerated engine wear and “wet stacking.” 

Features include:

  • Auto connects and disconnect load steps to maintain preset generator loading.
  • Continuous monitoring of external generator load to prevent under or overloading.
